ReSPA participation at the 24th NISPAcee Annual Conference “Spreading Standards, Building Capacities: European Administrative Space in Progress”

ReSPA achievements and new Strategic Framework 2016 – 2020 were presented by Ms. Jadranka Djurkovic, ReSPA Governing Board Member, Ms. Zorana Gajic, Programme Manager, Mr. Fatos Mustafa, Seconded National Expert, and Ms. Vanja Ivanovic, Programme Assistant at the 24th NISPAcee Annual Conference “Spreading Standards, Building Capacities: European Administrative Space in Progress”, held on 19 – 21 May 2016, in Zagreb, Croatia.

During the ReSPA panel at the Conference three regional comparative studies were presented: “Improving Implementation of Merit Recruitment Procedures in the Western Balkans”, “Abuse of IT for Corruption”, and “Legal Remedies in Administrative Procedures”. The comparative study on “Legal Remedies in Administrative Procedures” was presented by its authors affiliated with the Institute for Public Administration from Zagreb, Croatia: prof. Vedran Djulabic, prof. Polonca Kovac, and dr Jasmina Dzinic.

The representatives of ReSPA presented the methodologies applied in the preparation of comparative studies and general findings and recommendations for the ReSPA region. The topics covered by comparative studies were particularly elaborated in light of the Public Administration Reform and European integration process.

ReSPA representatives participated also in closing panel discussion on Harmonization with European Administrative Principles and Standards in South-Eastern Europe and presented the public administration reform process in the Western Balkan towards EU integration and ReSPA’s role in this process.

 The Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee) and ReSPA have signed the Memorandum of Understanding in 2015, defining framework for cooperation of two organisations.
