ReSPA continuously facilitates improved co-operation among technical secretariats of National Investment Commissions

02 November 2017 News

The Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) organised on 31 October 2017, at its Headquarters, the 3rd Conference on regional co-operation among technical secretariats of the National Investment Commissions (NICs) of the Western Balkan countries

The co-operation among technical secretariats, promoted and enabled by ReSPA, has become one of core activities by which ReSPA strengthens the capacities of its Members to utilize IPA funds and to obtain support for infrastructure projects from the Western Balkan Investment Framework. The continuous support that started in 2015 has led to the organization of the 3rd regional conference, gathering representatives of ReSPA Members (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia) and Kosovo*, to discuss the current issues related to the functioning of NICs.

During the event, the participants discussed the upgrade and revision of the Single project pipelines, presented their relevant experiences and emphasized the importance of interinstitutional co-operation, coordination with the international finance institutions and functioning of sectoral working groups. They also provided recommendations on how ReSPA could further support their work.
