Training Objectives In times of rapid changes, good leadership skills are sometimes more important than detailed substantive knowledge. This requires a wide range of skills like setting clear objectives, delegation of tasks, monitoring results, negotiating, coaching, managing change, motivating and handling and solving conflicts. On successfully completing the module, senior civil servants will be able to: - Define the different roles of the manager in the Public Administration, as leader, motivator, communicator & situational manager and be aware of the European Perspective of Leadership; - Identify his/her role and identify his/her gaps in his/her present position. - Deal with stress by using basic techniques such as: - Time management (use of delegation as main tool of time management); - Conflict resolution; - Identify the dynamics of a team; - Use the basic principles of good communication and feedback. Target Group Up to 21 senior civil servants from Central and sub Regional Public Administration in the Western Balkans. |
