Methods and Tools

This seminar is based on a highly interactive approach which combines the involvement of experienced media professionals with group participation in the form of relevant discussions, simulation exercises and feedback sessions. The practical focus of the seminar will include drafting press releases, managing press conferences, conducting interviews, planning campaigns and using communications as a lobbying and crisis management tool.

All exercises are targeted at providing participants with the means to deliver a winning communications and/or lobbying campaign in a highly challenging environment.

Target Group

Within both the EU institutional and national administrative frameworks, the window for communications and lobbying opportunities is significant. If you work in an institution, state administration, regional/regulatory authority/agency or state organisation dealing with communications issues, you will face internal challenges as well as competition from NGO’s, lobbyists and opposition politicians. This seminar is devised specifically to equip you with the skills to determine, develop and deliver on these communications opportunities.

For those of you working in a variety of more specifically communications-oriented roles, from media/press officers to communications managers, this seminar will provide a fresh and up-to-date insight into the dynamics of European communications.
