
Regional Workshop on IPA III - Window 3: Green Agenda and Sustainable Conectivity
ReSPA and GIZ, in partnership with DG NEAR, are organizing the Regional Workshop on IPA III - Window 3: Green Agenda and Sustainable Conectivity, on May 5th and 6th, 2022 in Mostar, BiH (in hybrid format).
The European Green Deal together with global connectivity communications and the Economic and Investment Plan for the Western Balkans, including the accompanying Guidelines for the Implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, will support Western Balkan in transition to climate neutrality, a healthy planet and a globally connected Europe.
The IPA III and the Window 3 will be used to promote the green agenda by reinforcing environmental protection, contributing to mitigation, increasing resilience to climate change, accelerating the shift towards a low-carbon and circular economy, develop the digital economy and society, but it will also contribute to increased connectivity.
Under Window 3, IPA III will gradually integrate the new policy dimensions of the EU structural and cohesion policy in the enlargement region with the objective to better support the beneficiaries' understanding of the structural EU policies, support the transfer of best practices from the EU structural instruments to the enlargement area and prepare the beneficiaries for accession
Therefore, the objective of the regional workshop is to enable a platform to discuss these, but also other topics related to IPA programming and coordination for Window 3.
The workshop will be an opportunity to foster more clarity when it comes to IPA III programming for this specific window and its requirements, but also it will enable participants to present some lessons learnt and to discuss challenges, processes and coordination mechanisms and how to improve them, thus ensuring more effective and efficient utilization of IPA III allocations.
The regional workshop will be useful to enhance the knowledge among the participants from line ministries on latest developments on IPA III and provide additional information on programming of IPA beyond 2023.
The target audience for this workshop are representatives of NIPAC Offices and IPA Units of relevant line ministries.
