Working visit to the National Institute for Public Administration of Portugal (INA)
ReSPA is pleased to announce the Working visit to the National Institute for Public Administration of Portugal (INA) planned to be organised from 22 - 24 April 2024, at the premises of INA in Lisbon (https://www.ina.pt/)
During the visit, there will be an opportunity to learn from the National Institute for Public Administration (INA), which is responsible for developing knowledge in the field of Public Administration, contributing through training, teaching, scientific research and technical assistance to the innovation and modernisation of Public Administration. The visit offers a presentation of institutions and initiatives dedicated to enhancing innovation and modernisation within public administration, focusing on HR. Additionally, the visit highlights the launch of the pioneering Artificial Intelligence course for the Portuguese Public Administration for senior and middle managers, alongside the discussion on design thinking, leadership skills development, and strategic foresight, aimed at empowering senior civil servants with competencies to navigate future challenges effectively. Please kindly note that this HR-focused knowledge exchange and capacity building programme also lies at the intersection of digitalisation, innovation, and foresight practices in HRMD.
The working visit indicatively targets:
- Senior civil servant of the Schools of Public Administration (PA) or equivalent;
- Senior civil servant of the Agencies/Authorities of public administration;
- Representative of the Ministries of Public Administration or equivalent.
The working visit is intended for up to three participants from your administrations.

Attached is the Provisional Agenda. The final one will be sent to the nominated participants. The working language will be English and no interpretation will be provided.
In case of flight cancellation by participants, the costs of flight tickets will be covered by the participants' respective institutions. All participants will be paid per diem to cover their accommodation, meals, and local transportation costs in their residence and place of mission. Participants can book and pay for their accommodation in Lisbon based on their preferences. A detailed Practical information sheet, tailored for the event in question, will be sent to the participants upon registration.
