The ReSPA is organizing the Training modules on Clusters of the negotiating chapters- Cluster 1: The fundamentals to take place in Belgrade on 4-6 June 2024. This three-day training is envisioned and developed as the first in a series of training modules dedicated to each Cluster that will take place in 2024 and 2025.

The architecture of the programme: The training is designed to cover key aspects of accession negotiations in Chapters under Cluster 1 of EU accession negotiations, from horizontal issues relevant for all Chapters to in-depth training for each individual Chapter focusing on the rule of law, judiciary, fight against corruption and organized crime, fundamental rights, asylum, migration and visa policy and Schengen. The training will allow for participants to gain practical skills in problem-solving in relation to negotiating Fundamentals and encourage active participation through practical exercises and discussions. The training is designed in a way that implements techniques that create a platform for peer learning and exchange focusing on sharing information on the state of play in the field of EU integration, discussing main challenges on the path toward the EU and conversing on the reform agendas and the specificities of the policy areas under Cluster 1.

Participants: The program is designed for the benefit of those civil servants engaged in EU accession negotiations/ EU integration in chapters that are part of Cluster 1 Fundamentals.
