Regional Session at the WBs Meeting organized by OGP
The Western Balkans Meeting, dedicated to the critical themes of open governance, digital innovation, and civic engagement, is organized by the OGP Support Unit and the Government of Albania. The Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) is contributing via a regional session on ”Advancing Digital Governance in the OGP Landscape.”
The Western Balkans Meeting will held in Tirana, Albania, from November 14-15, 2024. This event will provide a platform for insightful discussions, expert sessions, and networking opportunities aimed at fostering collaboration and advancing democratic principles across various sectors. The objective of the Western Balkans Meeting is to promote exchanges, inspire administrations to raise their level of ambition, and for all stakeholders to push the open government agenda forward in their administrations collectively.
The event will consist of:
- Ministerial Roundtable Dialogue: Open Government Reforms in the Region - Where We Are and What’s Next?;
- A discussion on digital governance strategies for building citizen trust, and the other on innovations in digital governance;
- Other topics will include enhancing political integrity to combat corruption, the role of parliaments in promoting open government, advancing the OGP process, enabling the environment for civil society, and promoting media freedom, culminating in discussions on current challenges and best practices.
Participants
ReSPA will support the participation of the National OGP Point of Contact from your administration (1 person). ReSPA can also support the participation of the Minister in charge of OGP matters if needed.
