Training modules on Cluster 6: External Relations as back-to-back with the EU Integration Thematic Group Meeting

23 September - 24 September 2025 Skopje, North Macedonia Thematic Workshops

This intensive training is envisioned and developed as the fourth in a series of training modules dedicated to each cluster, which began in 2024.

The architecture of the program: The Cluster 6 Training Module is the continuation of the training modules on negotiation clusters designed and developed by ReSPA to help improve the administrative capacities of the negotiation structures in the Western Balkans. It is designed to suit the needs of public servants who are members of the ReSPA EU Integration Thematic Group, working in ministries/ departments for European integration and line ministries (in charge of foreign policy and trade) that are part of negotiation structures in Cluster 6.

The training will focus on some of the main challenges concerning negotiating this complex cluster to get a comprehensive understanding of the steps that need to be taken to move toward the closure of chapters and alignment.  The participants of the program are to learn about the state of the art in each chapter under this cluster, the most recent trends concerning accession negotiations and further develop skills through exchange with experts in the field. This is an opportunity for civil servants to exchange with peers, connect with their counterparts in the region and engage in discussions with trainers and lecturers. In addition, the program will be complemented by discussions of the Thematic Group, mostly focusing on ReSPA's future activities and priorities in light of the upcoming granting period.

Participants: The program is designed to suit the needs of public servants, members of the ReSPA EU Integration Thematic Group, civil servants working in ministries/ departments for European integration, and line ministries (in charge of foreign and trade policy) that are part of negotiation structures in Cluster 6. In this regard, you are kindly required to identify a total of 4 participants from your respective administration.
