ReSPA Open DAYS: Introduction of activities and instruments envisaged in Programme of Work 2023

ReSPA recently signed the new EC grant 2022/437-350 and continues the implementation of activities towards achieving its strategic objectives:

  1. Improved implementation of PAR Strategies in the Western Balkans;
  2. Improved professionalization of public service;
  3. Improved public services using digital technologies and quality assurance models.

Aiming to inform the Governing Board Members at the Senior level, Liaison Officers, members of the Programme Committee and Working Groups about novelties, activities and instruments related to the new Programme of Work, ReSPA team is organizing ReSPA Open Days for each ReSPA Member:

  • First Open Day: 23 February, Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  • Second Open Day: 1 March, Skopje, North Macedonia;
  • Third Open Day: 3 March, Tirana, Albania;
  • Fourth Open Day: 7 March, Belgrade, Serbia; 
  • Fifth Open Day: 17 March, Podgorica, Montenegro

ReSPA Programme Managers will present activities planned to be implemented during 2023 within four thematic areas:

  1. Policy planning, better regulation, and coordination of the Centre of Government, also targeting horizontal accountability in public administration;
  2. European integration and accession negotiations (with specific reference to PAR and governance aspects);
  3. Human resources management and professional development;
  4. Service Delivery (digitalization, quality management, targeting horizontal simplification of the administrative procedures).

In addition, the Open Days will contribute to the:

  • Smooth implementation of joint activities and, consequently, the implementation of strategic objectives;
  • Better positioning of ReSPA in the implementation of the PAR agenda – by getting better insights into the PAR processes in the administration and particular developments that might be interlinked with ReSPA Programme 2023-2025;
  • Identification, even though to a limited extent, of the potential needs that may be addressed through ReSPA activities and instruments.
