ReSPA supported the Ministry of European Affairs of North Macedonia in executing the final phase of its CAF (Common Assessment Framework) journey, culminating in a highly productive Action Plan Workshop.

The event was attended by 20 dedicated members of the self-assessment team and was officially opened by the Ministry's Secretary-General, Arlinda Gjakova. During her opening address, Ms Gjakova emphasized the importance of strategic development, stating: "97 identified actions reflect the serious capacity and potential for growth within the institution. This provides a robust foundation for developing a results-oriented, strategic improvement plan."

Throughout the workshop, facilitated by expert Igor Markovski and supported by Slaven Bukarica from ReSPA, participants engaged in insightful discussions to prioritise initiatives that will drive organisational development over the next two to three years. Focus areas included fostering a progressive organisational culture, strengthening digital infrastructure, reinforcing ethical standards, boosting strategic effectiveness, and enhancing staff well-being.

The resulting CAF Action Plan balances quick wins—initiatives that require minimal resources but deliver immediate impact—with strategic measures designed for long-term institutional strengthening. The plan aims to improve service quality, streamline internal processes, and elevate the Ministry’s performance in service of the public.

The workshop concluded with a collective pledge to monitor progress, address emerging challenges proactively, and adhere to defined timelines to realize the set goals—paving the way for sustained excellence and public trust.
