
50th Budget Committee Meeting Strengthens ReSPA’s Financial and Strategic Outlook

ReSPA convened its 50th Budget Committee Meeting, bringing together key stakeholders to review financial performance, strategic planning, and upcoming initiatives.
The Committee examined the Comprehensive Interim Financial Statements and the Interim Core Budget Implementation Report for the period 1 January – 30 June 2025, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial operations. Members also discussed the draft ReSPA Budget for 2026–2027, the national envelope for 2026, and reviewed the report on national contributions, liquidity, and efficient cash management.
Donor engagement was another key focus, with an overview of current donor funds, updates on the September–December 2025 implementation of the EC grant, and the finalisation of the last instalment of EC grant CN 2022/437-350.
Looking forward, the ReSPA Secretariat introduced new and ongoing initiatives, including the Capacity Building and Mobility Programme with Italian institutions, the Ireland for EU Enlargement project launching this year and running for three years, and the RADAR project, highlighting ReSPA’s commitment to fostering regional cooperation and EU integration.
The meeting reinforced ReSPA’s dedication to financial rigour, strategic foresight, and impactful regional projects, strengthening its role as a key driver of public administration reform in the Western Balkans.
