National CAF correspondents and external evaluators from across Europe gathered in Brussels for the Introductory Training on CAF Excellence Recognition (CER) - a key milestone in advancing quality management within European public administrations.

A total of 35 participants, including 10 brought by ReSPA from the Western Balkans and others from various European countries, took part in case studies, simulations, and expert exchanges, gaining hands-on insights into the external evaluation process. The programme provided a comprehensive understanding of new procedures and methodologies aimed at strengthening the capacity to assess organisational maturity and support continuous institutional improvement in line with the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) and the Principles of Excellence.

ReSPA was represented by Slaven Bukarica and Jelisaveta Tasev, further reinforcing the capacities of the ReSPA Regional Quality Management Centre (RQMC) in the Western Balkans. His participation contributes to ReSPA’s ongoing mission to support administrations in achieving excellence and resilience through quality management tools and peer learning.

The initiative was organised with the support of BOSA, SIGMA, and the European CAF Resource Centre at EIPA, as part of a broader European effort to enhance the quality, performance, and resilience of public administrations across the continent.
