Director Maja Handjiska-Trendafilova joined partners and friends in Sarajevo to mark RAI’s 25th anniversary - a remarkable milestone celebrating regional cooperation, integrity, and commitment to transparency and accountability across South East Europe. The event brought together high-level officials, representatives of RAI member states, and international partners, reflecting a shared commitment to building societies founded on trust and good governance.

Within the anniversary ceremony, RAI hosted a working meeting with its partners, including ReSPA Director, Ivana Pejović, Central European Initiative Deputy Secretary General, Arslan Umut Ergezer, Deputy Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), and representatives of the IISG Secretariat, NALAS Network, AIRE Centre Western Balkans, RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation, and UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

Participants underlined their continued commitment to shared values and collective action for a more transparent and resilient region.

Director Handjiska-Trendafilova emphasised: “The 25th anniversary of RAI is not only a celebration of the past achievements but also a reaffirmation of our joint determination to further strengthen integrity, accountability, and good governance across the region. ReSPA highly values its long-standing partnership with RAI and stands ready to continue fostering synergies that support capacity building in integrity across the Western Balkans.”
