Are you a young person passionate about the European integration process, regional cooperation and shaping the future of the Western Balkans? Apply for the Regional Youth Forum “EUth Negotiators of the Future” and become part of a regional learning experience focused on EU negotiations, diplomacy and youth engagement.

The Strategers Institute in partnership with Partners Albania for Change and Development, NVO Centar za omladinsku edukaciju from Montenegro, and the ReSPA, invites young people from Albania, Montenegro and North Macedonia to apply for the Regional Youth Forum “EUth Negotiators of the Future”, which will take place from 1 to 3 October 2026 at ReSPA premises in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The Forum is organised within the project funded by the Western Balkans Fund and the European Union Joint Action, under the Call for Regional Project Proposals of the Grant for Grassroots Initiatives.

The Regional Youth Forum aims to empower young people by increasing their understanding of the EU accession process, negotiation mechanisms and regional cooperation, while creating a platform for exchange, networking and active participation.

Through a combination of expert sessions, interactive discussions, teamwork and a practical EU accession negotiation simulation, participants will gain first-hand insights into how negotiations work, explore the role of different stakeholders in the accession process and strengthen their communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.

As part of the Forum, participants will also work together on developing recommendations for a Regional Youth Policy Paper, contributing their perspectives and ideas on youth participation and regional cooperation.

Who can apply?

The call is open to young people aged 18–30 from Albania, Montenegro and North Macedonia

Young students, professionals, youth activists and representatives of civil society organisations are encouraged to apply if they are interested in:

• European integration and EU enlargement;
• regional cooperation;
• youth participation in decision-making;
• public policy and governance;
• negotiation and diplomacy;
• civic engagement.

Selected participants will have the opportunity to:

- Learn more about the EU accession process and negotiation practices;
- Take part in a practical simulation of EU accession negotiations;
- Exchange ideas and experiences with peers from across the region;
- Develop skills in communication, teamwork and negotiation;
- Contribute to recommendations for a Regional Youth Policy Paper;
- Build a regional network of young people committed to cooperation and European values.
